Liberating Microfossils from Carbonates

We’ve published a news article on the SELFRAG website giving an overview of the work done on liberating microfossils from indurated carbonates in the last years. This work, led by researchers from the Camborne School of Mines, part of the University of Exeter in the UK, is the first article to compare and quantify the liberation and recovery of foraminifera using electric pulse disaggregation (EPD) compared to state of the art methods currently in use worldwide.

The full overview of the work can be found HERE, while the open-access article is found HERE.

Fast, effective electric pulse liberation of fossils is offered starting from £62.50 per sample. For a quotation on disaggregation services across all fields of geoscience, recycling and mining, get in touch HERE.
