Lightning Machines is 3!
Who’d have thought it?! On the 24th July, it will have been three years since Lightning Machines was incorporated as a company!
In that time, it’s been a hell of a ride, going through not only the usual challenges of a startup microcompany in a novel technology field, but with the added challenge of a global pandemic grinding the world to a halt. Everything stopped: conferences, teaching, and day to day life changed as we knew it!
In that time, it’s been a privilage to work with a plethora of companies in the mining, mineral processing and research industries to bring out the best in electric pulse fragmentation research. We’ve worked with companies across the globe to trial new novel and challenging materials on high voltage pulse fragmentation systems - some trials have worked spectacularly, some trials not so well, but that’s part and parcel of the R&D process. Regardless of the outcome, we’re glad to have made new contacts and investigated new applications with our clients and collaborators, and we’ll raise a glass to continued work with you in the future!
